When I noticed my mood wasn’t improving, I knew it was time to seek help. I called my GP surgery and was able to schedule an appointment with a Mental Health Practitioner.

They were able to offer me a longer appointment than I would have had with a GP, which meant I felt listened to and not rushed when explaining how I felt.

They referred me to the Talking Therapies team as well as offering me a follow-up appointment to see how I was getting on and to make sure I was accessing the right support.

If you or someone you know is facing similar feelings, don’t hesitate to reach out for support. Taking that first step can open doors to the support needed. Remember, you’re not alone - there’s always help available!
