Star of the Month, Jessica, is simply amazing!

Jessica Quilter, Prescription Ordering Direct (POD) Supervisor, has been awarded the Star of the Month for NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin (NHS STW).

Jessica was nominated by Lucy Merricks “because she has constantly been a supportive supervisor since coming into the role.” Lucy added “she has a natural caring side that is very appreciated by her staff.”

Many of Jessica’s colleagues in the POD team came forward with glowing comments about her and why she should win Star of the Month:

Phoebe shared: “she is totally loved by all the staff members at POD and always goes above and beyond for us.”

Nicole said: “she is a massive team player, always has an ear if needed, an amazing people person and the best morale booster you could wish for.”

Molly said: “Jess is an excellent supervisor, she is approachable, direct, efficient, and cares genuinely for the welfare of staff.”

Katie added: “Jess is a very supportive line manager and is always there for you regardless of how big or small the issue may be.”

Emilee wanted to thank Jessica for everything that she does for the team and being there for them individually.

Marie explained: “she is always there if you need to chat, cry, or just have some reassurance. She joked she should be a counsellor, but she really is very good at listening and guiding you. She always makes time for you even though she is really busy herself.”

Finally, Claire finished off the nomination with two words which definitely summarise Jessica well… “simply amazing”.

The Star of the Month Award recognises the commitment and dedication of staff members who go above and beyond what is expected of them to make a difference to patients, the public and/or colleagues.

The award was presented by Simon Whitehouse in the NHS STW staff huddle. He said: “I’d like to say thank you personally because actually that’s a really endorsing set of comments from a team and Jessica is obviously a popular choice amongst her colleagues.”

After receiving Star of the Month, Jessica said "it was a really lovely surprise and nice to be appreciated."
