Dementia Support workers provide personalised one to one support to help people with dementia remain in their homes. The service is for anyone affected by dementia family, friends and people with dementia, through home visits, by telephone, skype or in writing. We can signpost, make referrals, and provide a range of information. Dementia Support Workers are available seven day a week on our support line. We can be contacted on 0333 150 3456
Our monthly peer support groups support carers to share lived experiences, we discuss strategies and offer hints and tips to support everyday living. These run at St Giles Church Hall in Shrewsbury, Mayfair Centre in Church Stretton and Fire Station in Whitchurch.
Singing for the Brain is a weekly activity group for carers and people with dementia. The group runs 3 programmes of 10 sessions each during term time. These groups run in Salvation Army at Oakengates, fire Station in Market Drayton and Bicton Community centre in Shrewsbury.

Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Dementia Action Alliance are a voluntary organisation that works with the growing number of Dementia Friendly Community groups in the area. They also work with businesses and other organisations that have committed to become more 'dementia friendly'. They have produced an easy guide to local services and support including:
