Prescription Ordering Direct (POD) Service

The Prescription Ordering Direct (POD) service is no longer available, and people will no longer be able to use this service to order repeat prescriptions.

Instead, patients can order medicines with the NHS App, online or through their GP practice using different options. These may vary by practice, but alternatives include:

• Online portals through practice websites
• The paper form attached to a prescription
• In-person or telephone requests through GP practice
• Pharmacy services such as repeat dispensing.
